“ The older gentleman there is always so nice! Love coming here. Food is bomb period. They even have tea inside for you. Food to go has a banana they give you too ”
“ The best Somalian place to ever do it this place is a hole in the wall, but offers food out an affordable rate in large portions. The goat is my go to at this restaurant. The goat plate and rice with the salad comes with water and banana you can never go wrong when eating at Banadir Somali restaurant the owners are also very friendly and welcoming, and the customers are the usual. The parking for this location is right across the street. You cross the street and go to the restaurant they have indoor seating, but I prefer to grab and go with this restaurant. I've also tried the steak, but goat is my go to. ”
“ If you've been to the website, you might be expecting an upscale, somewhat modern restaurant. Don't be alarmed, it's not, but it is quaint and functional. Know what you want to order, they don't hand out menus. There is a menu on the wall at the front when you first step inside. We dove right in and decided to share the goat & rice. We stared at everyone being served and decided there was a lot of food on one plate. The goat was delicious, honestly, I could not discern it from lamb. It wasn't gamey at all. I will definitely stop here for a meal before heading to the SoFi, Forum or Intuit Dome. ”
“ Very interesting restaurant I have ever seen in California I like the way of cooking Very interesting restaurant I have ever seen in California I like the way of cooking ”
“ This was our first time trying Somali food after a coworker recommended Banadir. We ordered the goat with rice and chicken with rice. The rice changed our lives!!!! Meat was super tender and reheated well as leftovers too the following day. We will be back almost every other week - the food is just THAT GOOD. Also the chai with mint leaves was the perfect dessert. It was super sweet so heads up. ”
“ Food always fresh and tasty. Large portions, food is ready within 15-20 mins or sooner. Owner and employees are friendly. I usually get my food to go. ”
“ We had the chicken and rice and it was phenomenal. Affordable prices and amazing food. Very down to earth place. Cannot recommend enough. We also had the vegetable soup which was really good as well ”
“ Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambulances: 5/5 I recommend it to all Last two times I tried Lamb with rice and salad and soup it was good Today I tried Goat meat with rice and salad and soup ”
“ A little late, but I must share my amazing experience at this Somali restaurant! I discovered it in The Eater Guide to Los Angeles and couldn't resist stopping by since it was just a quick drive from LAX. I ordered chicken and goat to go, and the lovely cashier/cook was so sweet, even offering me a taste of their tea! The meal came with rice, salad, soup and was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you're in the area! ”
“ This place is amazing and it exceeded all of my expectations. First of all the service was phenomenal. The guy taking our orders (not sure if he was the owner or not) was very friendly and responsive. Service was very quick and we were taken care of immediately upon arrival. I ordered the goat and rice dish and it was delicious. Portion sizes are HUGE and the meat was well seasoned and tender. The Somali tea was very very sweet but it also had really good flavor so I went back for seconds. The fresh mint was a nice touch as well. The inside is small but was packed with people and cozy. I can't recommend this place enough! ”
